Thomas James Hole is a UK based photographer interested in portraiture and commercial practice.
Tom's interest in photography began during the first year at The University of York whilst reading a History & Politics. Chairing the Photographic Society for three years, he worked to expand it from a small clique of camera enthusiasts to group with a far broader appeal.
During this time Tom was heavily involved with Student Press, and was Photographic Editor of the student newspaper Vision in 2007 when it snatched 5 Guardian Student Media Awards.
Graduating York Tom choose to focus more on his own practice enrolling at the Arts Institute to study on the Commercial Photography FdA.
Tom's photography is informed by this experience, creating images on a secure technical foundation that are both aesthetically interesting and well informed.
